Begun in 1995 as a small art sale at Margaret Rhein’s papermaking studio, Terrapin Paper Mill, Margaret invited four women artist friends – Susan Naylor, Dianne Dennis, Pam Korte and Jennifer Gleason – to join her and form the Studio Collection. The group quickly outgrew the space and in 1998 moved to Harmony Lodge in Cincinnati. This large facility allowed them to grow from the original five artists to a core of 10, which became 12 when we expanded to the stage area. It has always been professional women artists with invited guest artists when core members are not able to exhibit. The eclectic mix of crafts includes jewelry, ceramic art, quilts, dolls, handmade paper art, narrative mixed media wall art, hand dyed clothing, paintings, prints, homemade jams, mustards and soaps. Attending this show has been a highly anticipated tradition in the Tri-state area for people wanting unique, high quality handmade objects to collect or give as gifts to others.
